As part of Program_Pushtibondhu, I had the opportunity to lead a session on Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) with a group of students.
The session focused on understanding hunger, food security and nutrition and how these issues are connected to the broader goal of building a healthier and more sustainable society.
We discussed the key ideas behind SDG 2, including ending hunger, ensuring access to safe and nutritious food, improving nutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture. I also encouraged the students to think about the difference between simply having enough food and having access to safe, nutritious and diverse food.

The session was part of a three-day learning process. After completing the sessions, the students will present what they have learned through poster presentations and short skits at an upcoming event. As part of the final session, we also discussed how they could communicate their ideas effectively through posters and performances.
For me, the session was an opportunity to turn a global development goal into a conversation that students could understand and relate to in their everyday lives. I hope the knowledge and ideas they gained will help them think more critically about hunger, nutrition, food systems and the importance of sustainable agriculture.
