As part of “চরের কথা: From Loss to Awareness & Action”, I had the opportunity to brief and engage in a panel discussion with the project’s Strategic Planning Team.
During the discussion, I presented an overview of the project and explained its objectives, planned activities and implementation approach. I also shared important context about the realities of climate-induced Loss and Damage in char communities and why the project’s interventions are relevant to the people living in these vulnerable areas.
The discussion went beyond a project briefing. We exchanged ideas about how the planned activities could be made more meaningful and effective for local communities, what challenges might emerge during implementation and how those challenges could be addressed. We also explored potential areas where new initiatives could be incorporated into the project.
My role in the session was to help the Strategic Planning Team develop a clearer understanding of the project’s vision, the needs it seeks to address and the practical realities that should inform its implementation.
It was a valuable experience of knowledge sharing, strategic thinking and collaborative planning. I believe that strong planning becomes more meaningful when it is grounded in the lived realities of the communities a project aims to serve.
