On 24 April 2026, ReEarth Club, BRUR organised “খালি পায়ে, মাটির কাছে ২.০” to mark Earth Day and the club’s founding anniversary. The event brought together activities such as barefoot walking, meditation, circle sharing and breakfast to create a simple yet meaningful opportunity for participants to reconnect with nature.
Following the success of the first edition, ReEarth Club later announced “খালি পায়ে, মাটির কাছে ২.০”, designed to welcome the club’s new junior members and others who share a love for nature.

As part of the event and its outreach, I had the opportunity to speak with the media about the initiative. I gave interviews to Somoy TV and NTV, sharing the purpose behind the programme and explaining why reconnecting with nature can be meaningful in our increasingly urban and technology-driven lives.
I spoke about the idea behind stepping away from our usual routines and experiencing nature through simple activities like walking barefoot on the earth, spending quiet time outdoors and sharing reflections with others.
For me, the interviews were an opportunity to communicate ReEarth Club’s environmental work beyond the university community and share the philosophy behind an initiative that encourages people to experience their relationship with nature rather than simply talk about it.
